I have recently started decorating my new house and would really like some nice artwork for my place. Specifically I am looking for wake related (non-rider subject) sunset shots, maybe of a boat on a lake, dock, or rope sitting on the v-drive locker...etc. I am looking for something I can print at a poster size.
Anyways, if anyone has any suggestions please feel free to email me at Liquidmx@hotmail.com
BTW there were some pics in the old Standard Wake mag that I would like to purchase now...does anyone have any lines/suggestions on where to find that database of pics?
Thanks,
Matt

You might want to hit up Riley (Steezyshots) , if I remember he just posted a sample of some of his sunset work... Pretty legit!

The shot of the sun setting behind the palm trees (third row down, all the way on the left) is absolutely GORGEOUS in person. The Liquid Playground has a bunch of Meddock's work at it all looks really, really nice. I give that sunset shot two thumbs up for sure.
And I'm sure anything that Josh Letchworth has for sale is top notch as well.

Look at Mike Olbinski's website. I think its mikeolbinski.com. He has some pretty bad ass HDR pics of sunsets. They are in AZ but I won a pic of his at a Silent auction and it is worth every penny.

From a cruise I just got back on. Didn't get much of sunrise / sunset. Too cloudy nearly every day.
Pre-sunset leaving Roataan.

I'd be willing to give you this shot for free... I'm about to use it in our house. Santa Monica sunset 01/01/2008.

Thanks so much guys. After doing a LOT of reviewing, searching etc. I still have not made up my mind on what I want. I thought the task would be really easy but its turning out to be a lot more than I bargained for (I guess that's because I am looking for shots that impact me personally and emotionally).
Here is an example of two I like. I think I like them because it does not have a subject other than the landscape itself (its hard for me to get excited seeing a pic that has a boat I am not personally familiar with I guess). I am also looking for photog of the second delta shot (although I dunno if the picture has the file size to be printed in a large format). I am thinking of cropping it similar to the first one, adjusting the horizon, etc. Maybe some of you guys with more experience could give me some insight on how I would best crop it?

Matt,
I shot that years ago. I need to go back and shoot it right some day and make a poster out of it.
