Second for Marine Tex. Make sure you do not get the fast cure, as it will set up too fast. Put a piece of plastic wrap or wax paper over it and smooth it out with a credit card before it sets up, then just leave the plastic there until filler has set. It will peel right off, it will be smooth, and you'll have less sanding to do. I've also heard JB Weld is good, but have not tried it myself. I've used Marine Tex a lot, never had one fail. My wife is still riding on a Marine Tex repair that I did about 8 years ago to her Blindside Five-O.
