I have a 4 channel amp that I have configured as follows;
ch1: 2 6x9 in parallel (2 ohm load total)
ch2: 2 6x9 in parallel (2 ohm load total)
ch3 and ch4 bridged to a sub.
Should I wire the dual coil sub in parallel for a 2 ohm load or series for an 8 ohm load? In my head I see the 2 ohm of a dual coil sub in paralle as drawing more current, but does this translate into better sound? I also see an 8 ohm load being closer to a balanced amp (2, 2 ohms on one side and an 8 ohm on the other). Maybe a balanced load doesn't mean anything?
