That's funny Michael, you bought the same set of speakers my buddy inquired about, but you had already bought them. lol The amp will be stable at 2 or 4 ohms so the amp will be good no matter what. The wiring they give you will be what you get, you won't be able to change it at that point. If they have it set up at 2 ohms then you would put 400 rms watts to each side, if they have it set up at 4 ohm you'll put 200 to each side. I have to say I love these amps, very under rated, lot's of very clean, good power (pros). They are big though and they are power hungry on your charging system (cons). I am looking at getting a bigger alternator now that I have added the 2400. I run on just the two batteries, but the boat is running most of the time when we are out so we are fine. I just trickle charge them every once in a while. I guess the other option would be that if they are at 4 ohms, bridge the amp and somehow wire the two pods in series so that it would drop it down to two ohms. I have never done that with the neutrix connectors though.
And Jeff is the owner of the 2200 now. I thought he would have chimed in. I have seen it going for between 200 and 250 on craiglist Jeff. Thanks for the comments both of you.
