Never been there but after seeing the pics a week ago from the houseboat trip I have to go there. Planing a trip the weekend of the 10th. Where should we camp? I see both boat in and regular on the website. Are the boat in ones accessible and what is the shore like at the boat in sites? If we stay at a regular site how close to the water, do I need to pull the boat or can I moor it? Good spots or coves on the lake to board?

The boat in camping spots are money. I'd recommend madrone cove, thats my favorite. This time of year you'll have a good 50-100 yard walk up to to camp site from the water. That's pretty much how all the boat in sites are right now. I don't think you'll be worried about finding a good cove to ride in. I always throw the anchor out and just keep the boat 15 yards off shore. Have fun

Can't go wrong either way, but boat in camping would be a bit more work i guess, as far as set up etc (never done that) but schoolhouse is about a 1 to 2 mile drive either way to both launches..did i mention there is no launch fee? been camping there twice this year, nothing but good times!! Yes, have fun!

There is also a third option. They offer shoreline camping as well. With this option you can camp anywhere right on the shore. A little more primitive but this is the most private option and in my opinion the best option. You are only feet from the water and no one is around to bother you.
