Ok so I finally got my Sun Tracker Pontoon upgraded. After many different thoughts about doing this thing myself I decided to go see the master Tom at Texas Stereo ( www.boatstereo.com). Here is what we did. We have 6 WS650 Interior speakers two Wetsounds 10" subs 1 12" Wetsounds Subs, Amps i think it is 1 syn6 and 1 sny4, WS420, and two WS650 speakers mounted to the back of the boat for music at party cove. We decided to use the current face 3 year old Alpine with iPod controller. This thing pounds. Ohh and the power is two Kinetic Power cells with charger. Boat battery and stereo battery are completely separate. Thanks to Tom and crew. This thing rocks. Also there are also red LEDs on the inside to match the red BU and under the deck there are white to light up the under part of the boat. (Message edited by phall925 on May 07, 2009)

Pontoons are great investments. Buy a used one powerwash the carpet, get some new covers, throw in a new stereo and you can ball on a budget (can't board, but you can certainly have alot of fun if you only have the occasional time to be a weekend warrior).

That's one sick pontoon! Question. What exactly are the kinetic power cells? I keep hearing people mention them, but I'm not exactly sure what they are.

Nicely done Preston! One of the peeps in our crew got a pontoon last year and definitely has been a great addition to our crews lineup. Adds a lot of versatility (beer and food storage, a place for the kiddo's to nap, or your passed out friends to crash, beer storage, blowup island tie-off. Usually anchor off the Pontoon and it acts as 'Homebase' when we are all meeting at the lake. Love that we don't have to 'fight' for a floating dock or beach spot, we just meet out in the middle on the pontoon and have our own 'island'. Again, nicely done and enjoy...

Looks good preston. What did Tom do to stop the aluminum paneling from vibrating/ratttling?

I've seen several posts on other forums of work by Texas Stereo. In every case the fit and finish was excellent... Always taking the extra measures. From a pride of ownership standpoint, I find that as compelling as how good the system sounds. Preston, you did it right. David Earmark Marine

Adam, The only place that i have rattle is up front by the 10". So i shoved some carpet strips between the aluminum and the carpet boxes. The 12 is in the console and far enough away to not have rattle. I have noticed that the carpet seem to only work when you are not listening to heavy rap. So I have a controller for the gain on the forward subs to lower when I hear the faint rattle and one for the 12 under the console.
