Raimi first and now Rathy and Errington. I'm ready but scared silly to try them on my tramp. Any ideas on how to start trying them on tramp? I can do most raley type tricks with a tramp board but can't get myself to bust out the sbend. They look so sweet in the vids Help

I've found that the best way to learn them on the tramp is to do layed out front flips (straighten your arms, let your feet drift behind you) and slowly progress to the s-bend. I usually get caught upside down because I try to pull back too early...

Go back and watch raimi's again and see how she starts the rotation with her head pretty early basically right as she's leaving the wake before she gets out into raley position. Do the same thing on the tramp, extend your arms and start turning your head in the direction you are trying to go... then you have to trust it. when you get upside down you should be at full extension, then just roll with it and start bringing the handle back in to get your feet under you. I learned it by doing small raley's with a roll over onto my back and landing on my back without letting go until i felt like i could initiate the roll well. Then just went for it and it was pretty easy. Hope that can help!!

TFD Thanks, watching it again and looking for the head position has helped. I can do them without the trampboard now, with a little more time I think I'll give it a go with the trampboard

TFD, technically that was a vulcan, just not done properly. A vulcan is an S-Bend then you revert back the 180, kind of like an elephant

Toby, I thought that was a regular toe 10. Isn't Rathy right foot forward? If he isn't then he was doing his S-bends switch also.

that two handed whirlybird looks different. if he let go of his back hand it would look exactly like a normal whirly though

personally I have never even attempted an S-bend, or even thought about it I guess, but a few of the guys I ride with had S-bends about 5 or 6 years ago and both learned them right after learning raleys...neither really treated it as a big deal but I guess I wouldn't know cuz I have never tried.Anyways, just kind of wondering what all the hype is abooooot.

for one i hope you have a good base with raleys, and flips before you even think about going for this... (disclamer) dude go in like your gonna do a raley hard when you hit the wake i lean forward like im gonna try for a front flip... kinda weard but it throws you into the spin while your legs get kicked way behind you. you start pushing the handle down to your waist when you start facing the water at the end.. heres a hint when learning them start off really mild and work your way up. my first attemt was like a phantrom lol. dont just go balls out... you might get owned. oh and watch your legs because the landings can come quick. good luck;)
