That accomplishment of doing something that I haven't done before while being on the water. Then again, I don't have to hear my wife nagging at me either.

the pull? why not ski or kneeboard then? For me it is everything coming together to create a harmony that only a wakeboard atmosphere can provide.

It's the only time when I am 100% in tune with myself. When I am behind the boat, it is me and me only. I am able to block out and forget about everything that is negative or debilitating in my life. Other than that, the whole lifestyle that goes with it. I love spending time on the lake, being in the sun, coming back and hanging with your crew on the dock, grilling and throwing a few back after an accomplished day. Absolutely nothing beats that!

For me, it's not just the riding. It's hanging out with good friends, being in the sun, having a few drinks, and listening to some music. Heading back to the Disco house to BBQ and playing beer pong at night aren't half bad ways to spend the evenings either. Even on the days when I ride my worst, it's still a good day if I'm out riding on the Delta.

To me, the best thing about riding is catching air, especially that moment or two of "weightlessness" at the apex of the jump. Other than that, the best thing has got to be the friends I have made through riding. I love pulling up to the line and knowing the people in the other boat(s) that I'll be sharing it with.

Looking over the side of the boat as it slices through the water. Also just floating with friends and tunes talking about anything but work.

Getting back to my favorite place, feeling the wind on my face, the adrenaline pumping, and forgetting the outside world. Hours feel like minutes on the water, it's just a great feeling,

Watching my friends take diggers, getting new people out on the boat for a set, popping off the wake, I have only just discovered what pop is all about and I like it.

1. Getting away from the stress of every day life, and hangin' out with friends and family 2. Getting that good tired after a day of hard play. Very relaxed (it helps if I ride good too) 3. See #1 Same reason I ride my ATV's... (Message edited by clubjoe on February 11, 2009)

Others above have said nearly the same. IT'S THE PACKAGE: outside, water, friends, music, warm (most of the time), sun, all day, athletic, getting better, trying new things, music, no "to-do" lists, watching others ride, the boat (toy) and the memories of many, many similar days.

That feeling of complete freedom when you're riding, nothing else matters than. And of course the rush of landing that new trick, or making one you've already got bigger and/or steezier. oh and buns

Waking up before dawn, boat packed and ready to go, friends showing up and hootin and yellin in the driveway and my wife sayin "sssshhhhhhhh......the neighbors are still sleepin". pickin up friends on the way, the look on the the fishemans faces when we show up at the ramp, starting the boat and turning on the ballast pumps.....some good reggae pumpin from the stereo....and the feeling of slippin off the platform into heaven as he sun peeks up onto slice of buttah that was put there just for me! The Essence of the carve and the sacrifice of comfort it requires to get the good stuff is what keeps me wakin up every mornin'

blake2wake - i get you so much!! love it. once, while preparing the boat, i accidentally hit one of the acc rocker switch. guess which one? the stereo. guess what else - volume level was from previous outing. holly molly. that stereo came on BLASTING. woke the kids up, dog started barking, half the neighbors on my street (i'm sure) heard it. wife was not happy. i thought it was funny. so did my friends. just another morning at 4am!! love it

The fact that it's a new challenge. Something for me to work on constantly all while having fun doing it. I love being on the water, being with friends and just having a great time. It's funny that a guy that was there when I started riding sportbikes on road courses also helped me land W2W the first time. Thanks Justin. Wood, Dr. B. and I will be riding a lot this summer. Hopefully I will have a boat soon too.

something about it just feels so right when everything else in the world just feels so wrong. sometimes the board just feels like an organic extention on my feet, you know that feeling you get when you land super smooth on the second wake? I live for that. It gives us something to look forward to, something to live for, something to breath for, what would you life be like without it?
