Update from my previous thread:
http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/1/638321.html?1224804669 Wow, who would have thought that just doing something as simple as letting the handle out away from my body on my approach to the wake would solve my spin problems! Thanks to everybody here for the tips. I finally feel like I have the answer now to get my spinning more consistent.
I tried several HS 3's across 2 sets yesterday (maybe 10 tries in total) and I didn't land any, BUT I did get the handle pass on about 4 of my attempts. Before yesterday I wasn't even touching the handle during my pass attempts except for maybe 1 in 10 times.
I didn't land any, but I think that had more to do with the 3 foot swells I was riding in yesterday!!
My only other issue is body position in the air. I've gotten into a bad habit of bending a lot at the waist (in my attempt to NOT go out the front) but it causes me to pass the handle under my butt. I don't want to learn them that way though, and the last half of my attempts I was beginning to correct this issue and keep my upper body taller. Some of it also is probably just getting used to a different technique.
Thanks again! This method was also so much easier on my arms and the tension was like nothing. I'm stoked and can't wait to get them consistent so I can work on HS 5's! ha
