The refinery in my city supplies gas to most of our province, our neighboring provinces, and of course to the Northern States, yet I am paying more for gas than any of the locations mentioned. Kind of a bummer. $1.10/litre, which is about $5.00 a gallon...my math might be slightly off, but its close. Fack Me.

Get ready for OPEC to ruin this nice run really soon guys. Word is they moved up a meeting originally scheduled for next month to this month to announce they will start cutting back on supply. We all know what will happen when they do this. BTW: 3.04 here in Salinas, CA

Painfully obvious that gas prices crimped the industry. Lots of 08 stock left that dealers are trying to move. Lots of 08 boats models left over. It will be interesting to say the least if gas goes up again. It has put our economy in the rears for sure. Consumer confidence is a big negative. The election will not fix what is happening right now. Unfortunately I think this spike is gas will have a long term effect. If it goes back up, I am concerned that we are in big serious trouble.

Wes, people don't care about the future. Low gas prices means low oil, which means low industry, which means low jobs. People only care about the now, not the fact that they may not have a job in 2-3 years. Do you know what low gas prices mean to a family of four who just foreclosed on their home, and don't have a stable income? Probably nothing, since they aren't driving anywhere.

We all know that gas price prices come down after summer time. But this year (and every 4th year) there is a difference in flux. Gas prices, election, gas prices,election... Coincidence? Yes. Expect them to go back up after the elections; sad, but true.

}OPEC slashes production, oil continues to plunge. For the few that can still pay for the luxury of wakeboarding, this is some what good. Prices at the pump are just dropping below $3 per gallon here, and it would be very nice to get that down to $2.

That’s right! We’ve evolved. We’d much rather commute through an overly crowded interconnected series of tunnels like the Viet Cong. Unlike you hillbillies comfortably riding around while sitting down in an air conditioned or heated car.

Honestly I’ve only lived here for 5 months now so I don’t really know. And in the 5 months I’ve lived here; I’ve only taken a cab to and from the airport. But I can tell you that its $81 a month for an unlimited metro card…transportation is the only affordable thing about living here.
