x-45 vs x-star

Me and my family are looking for a new boat. we are between the mc x-45 and x star. we like the x 45 cause all the room, but i dont want to sacrifice the wake and performance. is the x star wake really that much better like everyone says. we want a boat that has room for friends and family but we also want a boat great for wakeboarding and surfing. tell me what you think. please help!!

X Star for wakeboarding hands down. Wakesurfing is better behind the 45, but can be done behind the Star. If your primary use is wakeboarding, then X Star, if your time will be split 50/50, X-45

If you want a larger boat with a sweet wake and great handling go with the X-15. I had the same dilema, sacrifice the wake for the room but i found the X-15 had plenty of room, have had 9 adults and 2 kids be comfortable. With some weight the surfing is great.

Yes, definitely look at the X-15.

The x-star surf wake isnt too great, especially if your goofy, you have to use a lot of weight and you have to weight the whole starboard side not just the rear. I would go x-45 or x-15.

I have not ridden one, but have heard from a lot of my regular riding buddies that the X-15 produces a killer wakeboard wake. Not sure about surfing, I don't know many wakesurfers.

thanks for the impute guys, iv checked into the x15 also. i thought that might be good since it was not as long as the 45, but i like all the room in the 45 and the pickle front looks awsome. i want an all around boat with some room so im still leaning for the 45 but every 1 is talking about the 15 so i guess il have to check into it some more.

are you or the primary users advanced wakeboardsers? Also how choppy is the lake you ride on? the reason I ask is that the x-star can take on water over the bow due to the pickle fork. I own a X-15 and love it. I have had 14 people on it and yes crowded but everyone could sit. Yesterday we had 12 people and two 750 sacks filled half way and the wake looked like a tidal wave, not the best for gas though!

xstar leave it at that. the 45 is pig and the wake isnt all that great. ridin behind 2 totally differnt weight set ups in 2 45s and they both blow. the star is always mackin
