having an extremely hard time getting my PP to work. It seems to set it for a a few seconds then slowly drifts. After it drifts to far up or down it starts surging up and down really bad. It also seems like the speedo jumps around a lot not to mention it takes a bit of time to actually read the speed that we are going (slowly increasing). Is this normal of the PP system or is my speed control all kinds of wack?

Adjust the KDW setting to like 200. That should fix it.

not sure on the NN setting... my boat is not here so I cannot look right now. But the KDW setting is basically how often PP reads the speed the paddle wheel sees. Think of it as a sampling rate, the more often it samples, the more accurate the speed will be and the tighter it will hold it. In choppy water it *could* cause it to get poor readings though if the setting is too high but I have never had that problem.
