No platform wake?

Has any one tried removing the platform to see what happens to the wake?

I really don't think it would have any effect. But then again I don't weigh mine down like some people. mine is out of the water when I ride.

Under way everybody's platform is out of water.

Plus.. try putting your board on without a platform... think about it..... MAJOR pain in the butt!

Jonny----thats why you learn to do it in the water ;). some of us arent as lucky to have the convenience of a platform .

nothing will happen. once your boat is out of the water and plained out the platform is out of the water.
I run gravity games bags
4 50lb plates under each locker sac 8 total
4 under the center bag
4 in the bow under the cushions
5-8 people in the boat. the platform is still out when pulling at 23.5----24 mph

I could see it might help clean it up a bit with the platform off for a heavily weighted boat when surfing. I know we were in my buddies 07 VLX a few weeks ago and the platform was definitely dragging while surfing.

I second sbt3's comment. I have been meaning to take mine off to surf and see if it changes anything.
