can def. be made good! we ran our old tristar with a 350lbs sac in the bow, and then 2 long narrow sacs (maybe 450 each) along the gunnels in what was one time ski storage...cut that out too..we also had everything plumbed in and filling/draining through the main drain in the middle of the boat. This meant that you could fill/drain while driving around...if you weight it properly, this boat puts out a clean, fairly large ramp w/o any noticeable lip...oh yeah, prop down too, you'll appreciate the low end with all that weight in there

I have a good buddy who has one. Its great! The only down side is that you have to ride a short line to be in the sweet spot on the wake! We slam my homies down with sacs, even strap one on the swim platform.

It's one of my favorite old boat wakes. I had one and put around 450 hours or so on it. I ran around 1800lbs its a bit sketchy to drive with that much weight but the wake was sweet for an old direct drive. You could also surf both sides of the wake at the same time with it weighted evenly, my buddy used to do cross overs on it. Heres a couple of old photos from it. Upload
