Outkast - I like the way you move. The opening bass beats will expose a bad system right away and the chorus hits the high notes with the rythm section.

Are you going to be trying for sound quality or just SPL?

It all depends on where you are crossed over and what brand of speakers you are running. I have found that some subs perform better for rap than they do for rock. My vote is either Sublime / 40 Oz. to Freedom (1. Waiting For My Ruca)- or Snoop Dogg / Doggy Style (8. Who Am I? (What's My Name) ?).

I remember when I used to go to USAC and IASCA stereo competitions they would use one song for the standard competition (Flashdance). This is when the sound measuring device (forgot what they called it) was put on the dashboard. In the outlaw SPL portion of the competition, the vehicle owner could choose the song and the placement of the device. They could move it around and change to as many songs as they wanted within 60 seconds. (Message edited by ripr on June 06, 2008)

So Patrick, going to be cranking up the tunes tomorrow are ya? I'll be sure to bring my ear plugs because I can only imagine how loud your beast will get Personally I prefer some old school stuff like Crystal Method's "coming back for more" or Depeche Mode's "Halo". Yes, they're old dance club tunes, but hey, I'm old so they work for me. The bass in these songs also sound pretty awesome when cranked up. Should you decide to go the rap route, just keep in mind that there will be plenty of kids there tomorrow should you think about the porno rap stuff. I just don't want to have to explain to my son and daughter what it means when the chick is singing "my neck, my back, lick my #@$% and my crack" Are you riding tomorrow before hand? I'll be out there early, so swing by and say hello. - Richard (Message edited by nauty on June 06, 2008)

Dude... Patrick, I told you they already have your name on the trophy. You should just play twinkle twinkle little star or something. See you in the AM man, we will be taking early sets as well, hopefully we will see you there.
