I can't get past the idea that this "HUGE SYSEM" thing is not only kind of bad for our sport and the general tolerance for it, but it is also... ...well kind of gay.

Yea, I'm all for letting your riding speak for you, Truth. But with all the bling & stereos that get put into these boats, it's just another way people are havin fun with them. I don't see you speaking out about the responsible ways to ride.... just rather take lame potshots at people instead? If you don't like a thread, why are you reading it?

Walt- hahahaha, I actually googled ghetto boom box when I first saw this thread, but I didn't see anything that good. I thought this was going to turn into a BUN thread? Anyway, my system is old news, I wanna see some pics of some new monsters!!! Somebody must have wasted a ton of coin this winter??

Freshly finished yesterday. Batteries topped off with added on board maintainer. Wiped down with Malco and cleaned. Outside at 8am and ready for a hook and go so the owner and family could hit the water this morning. Boat sounds and looks great. 08 X-15. Bullet Hollow Point 770s with MC mount option. Huge midbass 50 yards back. Do you guys like the chrome grills or would you like to see them in black? Clears bimini and optional tower supports easy with minimal hang height. Sub Enclosure before top is put on. Two 12w6v2 sealed 2.3cu net internal. Top installed to sub enclosure. This was added to prevent the occupant of that seat from enjoying him or herself to much on the water. Notch in rear to allow for factory seat latch. Bass is vented out of OEM location. JL Grill reused. Bass loads really well and filled entire area with ease. 2 JL 300/2 for tower. JL 500/1 for subs. Remove 6 screws to access all adjustments. Factory JL M6450 6ch running interior speakers.

Looks nice!!! Sweet install and very clean lookin. I personally think black speaker rings would look better, but then again, I'm not a fan of tons of chrome either. To each his own, it still looks dope in chrome!

Thanks guys! I have the black ones coming. They were not available in time for the weekend. I have a Centurion waiting for me at the shop for another Bullet Hollow Point install to upgrade from the loud liquid 4-6x9 box. If the black grills are in I will post of a side by side. What are your customers doing with their stock JL subs? I'm looking for 2 of the JL free-air 10's.

Ben (soundbox), Impressive getting 2.3 cubic feet out of that space. I didn't think it was that big. Nice work.

Shawn - The angles of the enclosure were very tight. Two angles of the hull plus the angle for the subs to slant forward towards the 10" opening took a little bit of thinking but it turned out great. When the boat was dropped off the game plan was two 10w6v2s but we remeasured a couple times, built a test box and ended up going with the 12s. Nu Bu - The 500/1 is giving us the volume needed for this application. The 1000/1 would have been the next option or a second 500/1. A bass head would have benefited with the 1000/1 but wouldn't have been able to use 100% of the power that the 1000/1 is capable of.

Sam - All of the old equipment and parts always leave with the customers. The next time I take one out I will ask them if they are interested in selling them.

Ben I didn't think that the 500/1 was enough to do the 2 12W6's any justice, nice to know.

nu bu - 500/1 gets them moving. 1000/1 is a little to much but gives plenty of dynamic headroom. The 750 will be perfect.

In a car a 500/1 would have been ok for both, but IMO, in a boat those w6's will handle all of the 500/1 by themsleves, and absolutely pound.

WOAH!!!! That ARC boat is SICK!!!! I love the 3 seats in the bow, I bet you can't hear anything for the rest of the day if you're down there too long. It will be interesting to see if it sells and if so, what for.
