I just got my new pair of cell bindings. I sized them according to the chart. When I tried them on my big toe slightly rubs the tip of the boot. Will these break in with a little more room. Or should I exchange them for the next size up.
I'd recommend getting them fitted for your feet. your local shop that sells ronix should have a heat molder. i have the 07 cells, got them heat molded to my feet, and its the most comfy binding i've ever worn.
I rode the cells on my one yesterday, they would be very comfy if they didn't have that change in material towards the bottom [and if they weren't 3 sizes too small]. but I noticed when I was riding them they kinda molded to my feet. other than that does anyone else feel like theyre gonna tear out the laces when tightening them?
that change in material is kind of annoying at first, but after a few sets you don't notice it anymore. I've never felt like they were going to rip or tear when tightening them...i have worn them for about half a season [4 months cuz i live in washington] and they have been durable throughout.
Heat mold them. It will fix your problem. I ride the ones on an Ibex but I work at a shop and we heat mold almost every pair we sell. I highly recommend it.
