Andy said he used AfterEffects on the vid. Dude has mad skillz. Ive been kiteboarding for about 5 years. They are just really getting things dialed in that sport. You guys should really give it a shot. The scene is like wakeboarding was 10 years ago, where everyone attitude was good and style became the measurement of ones riding. Anyone with enough balls can jump 40ft in the air, but its now more about how smooth you can do wakestyle maneuvers and how creative you are with your lines. It really is alot of fun. Many of you may remember the feeling you got when you went from a slolom ski or kneeboard to your first wakeboard. Remember that new sense of freedom and creativity? The transition from wakeboarding to kiteboarding is exactly the same. You are comfortably familiar with your suroundings, yet have ALOT more freedom. Youve always been able to pass the handle, it was just kind of lame with people doing it while 30ft up like its a chin-up bar. As you can see in this vid, the style has progressed to something you should find very familiar.

What the???...that was ridiculously crazy-cool editing. I would have to say some of it was a little much for me…but in the same breath, there was a lot of new stuff that I had never seen before and I would love to see again...especially in a wakeboard film.

Jason I still have not made the time to get out on the kite but will probably go down with you guys one time this year and take a refresher to get started. I actually have been playing some hoops to get my old ass back in shape so that I can achieve my ultimate wakeboard goal of landing a mobe. It should come this year. If not kiteboarding will take priority after that. Are you riding at all right now?

Not in Dallas. We went to SPI a few weeks ago. Sunday looks to be in the upper 60's with nice wind, so we may do Ray Roberts. Give me a buzz on Sunday and Ill let you know if we are rollin'.

Another 'wow' for the editing, and the kiteboarding in the ocean looked sick, just wonder what it feels like landing from 30 feet up in the 'flats'. I need to find someone to teach me how to kiteboard.

"just wonder what it feels like landing from 30 feet up in the 'flats." Actually it's pillow soft because the kite is above you and you slowly drift down, like a parachute. That is the beauty of kiting - easy landings, WAY more time to pull tricks/grabs/spins.

I believe the stop and go motion effect was done by a lot of pain staking rotoscoping.
