trayson made a post in this thread: Can I afford a $30k boat.
[QUOTE=shawndoggy;1908917]Ish. Bags tend to siphon and passively fill in ways that hard tanks don't. the "best" way to do it would be to pull the hard tanks and the pumps and put in reversible pumps using your existing through hulls. But to do ...

trayson made a post in this thread: lead or concrete as ballast?
I would go lead. it's denser and you get more weight for the size. a concrete bag is only 60 pounds and takes a decent amount of space for the weight. Plus, if my old boat ever went through customs with the concrete bags hidden in the bilge I...

trayson made a post in this thread: Got a new old boat. 1997 Sea Ray 240
Call me what you want, but I've found that the handful of I/O's that I've wakeboarded behind had a sharper wake that tended to throw me UP instead of the wake produced by the inboard's hull that would launch me up and out. So, yeah, it's possible...

trayson made a post in this thread: 22 VLX Review - Larson Marine/EXILE Audio/Wakemakers
I know it's nit-picky, but if I had that amazing boat, it'd kid of bug me to have the two different styles of switch covers. I'd try to source a new switch cover that matches the style of the wakemakers one. Like this: [url]http://www.sideb...

trayson made a post in this thread: Diy fiberglass swim platform.
You're dead on balls about not wanting that lip. However, a lot of us have not only smoothed out the bottom of our custom platforms to eliminate the lip, but we've also trimmed area off the corners. I'll give you that yours does look more po...

trayson made a post in this thread: Diy fiberglass swim platform.
It looks great. no question. Interesting that you'd going with a bigger platform when there's a ton of us that are making our custom platforms smaller (for surfing). I'm curious why you went to so much work making it out of fiberglass instead ...
