phathom made a post in this thread: Help with airs
We have about a 15-20 foot pocket, not huge, but definitely enough to drop back and build up some speed. Only takes about two pumps to get that kind of speed and trying to get air on a third. As I mentioned I kept either doing a stall on the lip o...

phathom made a post in this thread: Paypal newbie
As said before, the only thing he should need is your email address. If he pays you, transfer the money to your bank account right away. After it's in there, you're good. Paypal has a lot of buyer/seller protection and it is a very safe way to ...

I personally like the analog gauges and switches for one big reason. Muscle memory. You can change fill sacks, control your radio, do your lights, whatever you want by touch and keep your eyes on the water without messing around in a bunch of menu...

phathom made a post in this thread: Help with airs
I'm in the same boat as you Brendan. I haven't quite got the airs down. I tend to carve and get some speed, but lose a lot of it when trying to get air off the top of the wake. I usually end up like you, on the top of it doing a lip slide, or even...

phathom made a post in this thread: ghetto gate
[QUOTE=skiboarder;1886583]The point of the surfgate is to improve handling and reduce the list of the boat. If it doesn't retract as slow speeds, it seems like it would handle very poorly while navigating your own rollers and getting back to the r...

Not a fan of those at all. Maybe for stuff like auto ballast, perfect pass, stereo, water temp, etc. But for all my vitals I'll take an analog gauge any day. A lot less to go wrong when you need to keep an eye on the important stuff.

phathom made a post in this thread: I've seen it all now with drunk boat owners
The guy with the Dodge Diesel seems like the 2nd biggest dbag aside from the civic guy. hotrod, I can't believe that worked, but you know sometimes your first instinct is the right one. I have had many problems fixed in a lot of situations with t...

That Sport Nautique is dead sexy. I would take that in a heartbeat.
