Here are some pics of the system I just installed in my '04 B-52. It took me four days, but it was worth it. Here are some specs: One Orion 800 watt four channel amp driving eight Orion 6 1/2" (four on the tower, four in the boat). One Orion 800 watt two channel amp driving two Orion P124 12" subs in the front of the rear compartments firing through the stock MB grill in the foot area of the boat. One Orion 800 watt two channel amp driving one Precision Power DCX-152 15" sub under the driver's dash. Sony CDX-M850MP indash MP3 player, Sony CDX-757MX MP3 changer with a Sony Marine controller mounted on the transom of the boat. Two Optima yellow top deep cycle batteries mounted behind the amp rack. Hope you like it. It was a lot of work.

Looks sweet, how does it sound. The 15" blowing up your board shorts must shake your bits and bobs around.

Did you build your tower speaker box yourself? Post more pictures of that. Galen

Quick question, does that 15" right under the dash shake things around at all, Does it ever make your player skip?

Rob: No skips or rattles. The dash on the the MB is rock solid. I was pretty happy about that, my tige closed bow always skipped. I primarily use the changer anyways since it has a 12 second buffer, it never skips. Ty: The Orion subs are sweet. They are only 5.5" deep and use a small box, which makes the ideal for hard to fit areas. The only reason I didn't use the 15" is they are really only good for about 400-500 watts and then they blow. Wow, that is awesome. The only thing you might not like is that sony remote on the transom. I have one also and if someone is back there and touches it with there leg, it is very sensitive. We usually have someone sitting back there when landlocking that catches the rope and provides the extra ballast in the rear corner. The older sony transom remote would be better for back there.

Is that remote by your throttle for marine use? What Sony model is it? It looks like something that might work on my rig! Gotta run a specific Sony head unit for it?

John, nice job. How is the Sony CDX-M850MP unit, any problems skipping or slow reading the MP3's? Thanks

Joe:The remote is not a marine remote, but I don't get much water around the control area anyway. It only cost $25., so I'm not too stressed about replacement if neccesary. You need a Sony deck that has a HiR symbol to use the remote. The ir transmiter on the remote is aimable so you can mount in a variety of positions and still hit the deck. Bobo:The 850 has been great. The 4v output and remote capabilities has worked out perfect. The MP3's are a lot faster than the Pioneer I used to have and I haven't had any problems skipping. I do use the changer most of the time, since it has a 12 second buffer it will never skip. (Message edited by hyperryd on September 24, 2003)

Your boat shows a lot of hard work and planning. I am posting this pic as a JOKE. IF YOU EVER DECIDE TO SELL IT, CALL THIS GUY! I AM SURE HE WOULD BE INTERESTED.
