Has anybody heard of the DB Drive tubbies (apt*.*pro) amphibious speakers? (horn loaded Compression Tweeter (HLCD)) I just got these hooked up to my p900.4 amp (bridged) and they are loud. For the $200 I spent on them I am extremely happy. I can hear the music over 100 feet away. I got the 6.5 in speakers and they take 250w RMS, and I should be feeding them with around 300 watts per speaker. Now I just need to get my boat out on the water.

Anybody doing a budget build might check these out. They have 8 inch and 6.5 in speakers

Features:/Users/neil1/Desktop/boat.zip
8″ Pro Audio Marine Tower Speaker System
1.5″ (38.6mm) Voice Coil

And yes I know, I don't have a proper boat..

Sounds like a great low budget alternative. I would like to hear them.

Pretty good prices on the 6.5 and 8" coaxials also.

Here are pictures of my amp install. I used a Precision Power P900.4 and mounted it to a cutting board and attached under the passenger side dash. Nothing fancy but it will work.

I find it odd that the wire connectors are exposed and it's called a marine speaker
