I actually got it at the start of the year, but have been to lazy to post it.
The old boat first:
2005 Centurion Elite V - had tons of fun with this boat

The new:
2007 Mastercraft X15, 190 hours (when I bought it), loaded, LY6

I couldn't be happier with it. I think between the room in it, the wake, and the surf wake, I'm going to keep this one a long time (especially if prices for new ones keep going on like they are).

Beautiful boat. I am surprised we don't see more X15's out there.

The X-15 is a very under rated boat since it isn't a pickle front. A lot of dealers don't even stock these but here at our dealership it is one of our favorite crossovers MC makes.

Agree, a great all around boat, lots of room, lots of storage, nice classic lines. It would probably be my choice if buying a newer Mastercraft.

the new boat looks great! have you added additional weight?

side note....a buddy owns a 2007 centurion elite v and our experience has been the same, tons of fun. he loves a steep wake, so he runs with 1500 lbs of ballast in the rear lockers with nothing up front. i'm amazed it doesn't porpoise. durable boat.

We have been running stock and then a sack in the walkway and a sack on the floor as far back as we can get it. Its not the biggest wake in the world, but its great for me and its pretty clean. I don't see myself ever outgrowing the wake on this boat.

dhill,
No matter what we did, we could never really get the wake to clean up on the Elite V. If we ran any weight in back it was really tempermental. We used to just run stock center and then a sack in front.

Beautiful boat bro! Love my X-15. I don't think I have ever met anyone that didn't like the X-15. I don't understand why MC doesn't promote it more. Since everyone loves pics....

Jason hit it on the head. This is a very good boat in the MC arsenal, but MC marketing is devoted to the pickle fork concepts, despite pickle forks eliminating bow space room for passengers (all overall lengths being equal).

Beautiful boat!

Pickle fork gives you more room for bow passengers.I have owned 2 boats from the same manufacturer .Both were 22' and the passengers as well as my wife agree there's lots more room in the bow of the pickle fork.Malibu,Mastercraft,Axis,MB and Tige all list more seating capacity in their pickle fork models.

I don't see how you can count the bow seats in the seating capacity.I thought it's illegal to ride in the bow while moving in some states.

X-15 has a 14 person capacity.

Joel,
Your X15 looks good, really good. Is it over on the X15 thread on TT too (I think I saw it there)? What ballast setup are you using to wakeboard? I've asked a few places, but nobody seems to have much experience with an x15.
Old     (spf2275)      Join Date: Mar 2011       10-03-2011, 4:24 PM Reply
dbdb... Yea thats me on TT. I'm trig2275 over there. For wakeboarding we just run stock all full. (KGB and Rears) I have 3 sacks in the boat at all times that we use for surfing but we don't pull them out much for wakeboarding. Ride speeds vary between 22-24 at 65-70ft. I'm going to plumb in the 440# piggybacks from wakemakers for the rears this off season. We usually have 6-8 people in the boat too. For us the wake is enough stock. Here's my buddy riding stock
