It's really no loss other then fond memories as they were already destroyed and coming down anyhow.
News report says the fire jumped from Coney but I couldn't see any evidence of a levee fire across the cut. I'm amazed how thoroughly it burned, all I see left is Chris's old trampoline frame, one of the 4x14 girders and a twisted piece of gutter!
Actually when I look at that original shot now I can see it's burning on our side.
The fire burned 11 cabins total, from ours down the cut and around the corner (towards old river) to the big Euc tree on the main side there. 2 were metal trailers as well which melted into a pile!
As much as I appreciate everyone's sympathy I'm glad to see our cabin put out of it's misery, in fact the general consensus among club members is we're sorry they all didn't go up!
