Jaylee is getting huge she is 7 months now and crawling all over the place and getting into everything. she already wants to wakeboard because everytime shes in the office with us she goes straight to the wakeboards and pulls on them to stand up.

i dont think we are going to bring her out we might have a weekend to our selves this time, but not sure yet.

I'll be there at my cabin for the weekend. super pumped. I'm not trying to be a downer or anything but everyone needs to make sure that they are respectful to the locals that live up their and spend the weekends up there. I know that they wont be too happy about it but as long as people don't give them a hard time they should stay to there cabins and docks. they do have enough money and pull to make this a one time thing up there. everyone have fun and party it up. i know i will be.

For those of you that have never been to the Spring ride you really should check it out. It's a non stop good time.

The D-up contest is great but Friday is my favorite day because it's a big wakeboard reunion party. It always makes me realize how many good friends I've made through wakeboarding.

You mean, those female celebrity pop-star dogs?!

If you split a room with 4 people it's about 90 bucks for the weekend per person....of course that's before sales tax, room tax, county tax, and other fees."

Jeff, sucks to hear that, good luck with your search.

I've said for the past few year: I'm going next year. But, it's just not in the cards this year either. I'll make it out there eventually.

Hope the event rocks as usual and goes off without a hitch.

Brian,
the Chalets are very nice. BUT the rooms are all in the same building as the restaurants and they are all recently remodeled and some of them have HOT TUBS in them. So the hotel rooms are the pimp rooms that's why they are a bit more. They are all really nice rooms though.

Come on JOE!!!!!

I was just up at Bass last friday and the water was a little cold. I jumped into my dock to see how much water was in it have enough to put my boat in. the water was 58 degrees. a bit on the cold side but o well. it'll still be a good weekend.
Old     (jarrod)      Join Date: May 2003       04-21-2009, 4:23 PM Reply
We checked the almanac (sp?) for the weather up at Bass lake for our SR weekend. Historically, airs temps are in the 80s and the water is warm. Spring Ride water temps are always in the low 60s. I bet this year we have warmer water than past years at Tulloch.

does anyone know the closest camping area? and the rooms arnt all booked yet? tulloch i remember was booked months before the event! hope its a good turn out for you guys....

Kris call the Pines, Millers Landing or the Fork Marine about info for camping. there are camp sites on the other side of the lake from the Pines. The Forks would probably have more info on them. They are right down the street from their rental place. Also Millers Landing and the Forks Marine has some small single room style cabins up to 3 or 4 bedroom cabins for rent. I think they were reasonably priced too.
Old     (guido)      Join Date: Jul 2002       04-22-2009, 10:36 AM Reply
Kris, the Pines Resort is 3 times the size of Tulloch. If we can book it all, then we're doing big things. So far bookings are looking solid. We used to get a huge rush around the boatshow when we announced, then had some cancellations because people would book multiple rooms and keep only what they needed. This year has been a more stable build up. I don't think people are as worried about not being able to get a room.

With the nice weather booking rates have jumped. We're hoping for the goods for that weekend. It's always a gamble this early, but the Spring Ride gods haven't let us down yet.
Old     (dohboy)      Join Date: Aug 2007       04-22-2009, 4:55 PM Reply
I got a question on the lake. I remember being there several years ago and having to check in on an island with the local sheriffs dept to get checked out and pay for a registration sticker. Is this still in effect?
Old     (allen)      Join Date: Apr 2005       04-22-2009, 5:45 PM Reply
That check goes in effect the week after Spring Ride. We checked with the Sheriff before we decided on this location.
If you are planning on bringing a boat and you are staying at the Pines you can rent a slip so that you don't have to worry about where you are going to park your boat.
