Comparing a family member getting in a car accident and someone blowing their knee out is totally different. You need to think of a more realistic comparison. Now, if someone did tell me a family member got into a car accident and then said “April Fools” immediately after I would be mad at first, and then I would say to myself “well it is April Fools, no need to be irrationally mad about a joke”

Yeah that is how Thoreau lived. He did what he believed in, not what others thought he should do. If you read his book, it's not an open invitation to live without morals, or do anything destructive, just an invitation to live without being molded by others views. We all fall victim to living in conformity with others, be it having to have the newest gear, or how we dress. Thoreau just stresses we need to do things because we want to, and not what others want us to do. i.e. apologize for a little joke that didn't hurt anyone.

Everyone freaking out: you guys are ridiculous... Don't hate on him for putting up a harmless post, hate on yourselves for being dumb enough to not say "hey, wait a minute... It's April 1st... This doesn't seem too legit..." I knew before I even opened this that there was at least 96.5% chance this was a joke, and was willing to deal with the other 3.5% of possibility.

You know, this should almost be taken as a lesson for all Wakeworlders to LIGHTEN UP a bit. I cannot even tell you how many times I have bene in Toms shoes with people jumping down my throat over something I post on here. I actually laughed when I saw that it was a Joke. One year (I think I was 10) I told my mom my sister got hit by a car on April Fools day...oops! As a kid, I thought it would be funny...but I found out found out very quickly that wasn't so...obvioulsy I'd never say something like that now...but I look back and now that I know no harm was done, I still think it is kinda funny as does my mom. Stupid little kid! HA!

So...I admit at the time...what I said was pretty bad...this on the other hand...Not even close. I think it was funny and harmless...He's not wishing Rusty to get hurt...just knew that some of us idiots who take this sport way too seriously would freak! LOL and you did!

Alls I know is I too said "Oh no!!!" as well, I was almost in tears not only because of the pain that Rusty would go through physically, but the pain of him not being able to go out on the water and movement in general. I had been posting alot less on here for that very reason.

Hell I am 6 months out of surgery for an ACL and it brought a little chuckle that I had been dooped. BTW will this pain in my knee ever go away? :P
