Haha that is pretty funny. Didn't the Covenant come out 2-3 years after the Roam? Granted they were both probably a Herb/Paul O'Brien creation. Don't drink all the Kool-Aid.

The covenants hold up better but it is just too narrow to be that much fun behind the boat. I like the roam but for most people it is just a second board and therefore doesn't make much money for the company.

the new Byerly Assault has quite a bit of flex to it and it will return to its natural shape way quicker than any other flex board out there. the amount of energy this board stores and releases when you pop off the wake

We asked some of the guys at RONIX, while attending dealer days at RADAR, why there was no more covenant. They just smiled and said they were on to some cool new things.... but that was all we got out of them.

My covenant is actually kind of fun behind the boat. You have to edge flawlessly to keep from digging the bindings into the water, making it a little tedious to ride, but dang that thing is fun to just slide around.

I cant wait, the next five years board shapes will change soo much. People are afraid of change, but change leads to progression. Wakeboarding needs to change...

coming at it from a snowboarding perspective,
ive never ridden a roam or cov. on a slider, but it seems like itd be kinda hard to hold a steady nose press with the tip (especially the new one). i think it would be kinda cool if the ends of the board scooped up a little more to make it easyer to lock into that nose press.
