It looks pretty well executed

They are in the way and will be muffled by the exhaust noise. Been there doen that...tried this on another boat I had.

Why would you want to do that. I can't think of too many worse places to put speakers. I don't get it.

the company consists of a young guy with a unique idea. I don't remember his name, but he approached me at the Walled Lake Beach Party. I organize the wakeboarding stuff and he wanted to display his boat with speakers. The only problem was that he approached me the day of the event, and I was limited in space.

ahhahahaha who want to put an option on his boat that will put less and less space to move on a boat that already have not enough space to move ??

There are a couple benefits to these but for me the look and inconvenient placement of them is enough to turn me off. Plus I like the look of tower speakers and they actually look a little foolish back there. I also think sound projection would be an issue as well.

Anyone listened to the new Epics system with the speakers in the transom?

Let me slalom ski behind that boat one time and I'll either tear them off or trash the rope trying. I don't see what's so original, or patentable, about mounting cans where they get in the way and what's the point of the hinge? How about a socket, like a nav light, where you plug the things in when needed and the stash 'em when you don't. I kind of think giant PA systems will soon be a thing of the past but for now tower mounted cans seem to work fine.

nobody in my boat wants to carry on a conversation while somebody is boarding behind the boat...they all want to listen to the music as well...lol.

Epic and transon-mounted speakers look pretty promising to me, but that is a much different design. I was thinking of putting a couple small tweaters on my transom for fun.

^^^^To each his own but to me that is ugly and obtrusive. Nice boat and speakers though.

I guess the hinges are for storage?

Toe killers for sure. However, they don't look too hard to rip off after you bang your foot on them for the second time.

That idea is no good, and unsafe. What he should try doing is turning his fader knob to only have the music coming from his tower speakers. Works great.

^^^^^Totally agree, if the tower is blaring you can still carry on a conversation.
