Are these boats very good wakeboard boats? found a sweet deal, and might be leaning towards this boat.

any info would be greatly appreciated.

I have an 02 MC Maristar 230 with the 8.1L engine. While this is the first wakeboard boat I have owned and really don't have much to compare it to,, I am very happy with it. The deep V hull at the front of the boat seems to cut through chop very well. The 8.1L has all the power I could ask for. Very roomy interior. I have not added any balast to the boat yet. My kids are beginners and I don't want to freak them out. The wake seems to have potential after some weight is added. I pull them at 22 mph and the wake is ok. Steep enough for my 16 year old to go wake to wake on at 80' out with no weight at all in the boat.

To help you negotiate,, I bought mine used last winter for $28k. The boat was in good shape with 80 hrs on it,, twin batteries w/perko switch,, tower,, trailer. The major issues I found after purchase were: Trailer brakes needed work and the steering cable is shot.

Overall, I am very happy with my boat,, but as I said, I have not compared it to others.
