on sunday while pulling up a rider my boat would only get up to about 1/2 power with the throttle all the was forward. i noticed that the oil pressure was low and not corresponding with the throttle as it usually does(stayed at about 40psi). so i checked the oil and it was low. after adding some oil the boat seemed to run fine for a while then the same thing happened again(1/2 power and static oil pressure). so i just tied up to my buddies boat and floated home. yesterday i took the boat out for about 5 minutes. i opened it up once and there were no problems. anyone have any ideas.
maybe bad oil filter, bad oil pump, change your oil and filter, see if that helps.. however, it is going into limp mode for a reason.. the oil pressure has dropped enough to trigger that response.. what motor--gt40?
