I have an i/o. will a hydrofoil stabilizer(goes on right above the prop to help with bow rise etc.) help or hurt my wake size and shape.anyone have one on their boat?

It will help you get out of the hole faster and hold your speed better. It will help prevent cavitation on tight turnarounds too. I think to the extent that changing the trim shapes the wake the foil will make adjustments a little more profound.

Some people are really against hydrofoils, saying tey can put unintended strain on your lower unit. I had one on my old Sea Ray several years ago and I really liked it.

Yes, trimming up while under way will sink the transom and change the shape of the wake. It did on my old Bayliner
