hey leo,
i have a house up there and you can find good water most of the time but you have to search. the water is kinda choppy early in the morning and then it gets really glassy around 8:15-8:30. You get a lot of boat wakes but you can find a good place to ride by yourself and you won't have to worry about other boats wakes.

i think it is about 1 1/2 hours from chico, the water is really nice right now, i was up there last weekend it was 72 where I was riding all weekend...you will mostly be tubing during the middle of the day unless you want to search for some decent water.

Very nice lake but doesn't have any 'fingers' to go get flat water. My experience on it is nice water early in AM but by around 10:30 it's all rough.

Nice Place to hang boat in resturants etc. As for riding good luck. Just a fish bowl stay away from the Northwest side Tree stump ville.
