Malibu VTX surf, ski, wakeboard?

For the last two years we have had a 23xti that we use for everything, but this year we are thinking of going to a VTX. We need a boat that works well for all levels of wakeboarders, skiers that ski aggressively at about 34mph (not in a course, and novice surfers. The XTI did a good job of everything except we could never really get it dialed in for surfing. Has anyone surfed behind the VTX? We were thinking of going with the Diamond hull, but don't want to sacrifice the surf wake. How do people think this boat will compare to our 23xti in performance of skiing, wakeboarding, and surfing? Is it going to feel way cramped in size? Any thoughts would be great.

although i cant say anything about the vtx, but maybe look into the I-Ride. i have a 99 wakesetter DD which is the same thing and it does well in all aspects. nobody in my family really skis much besides my dad and he is no where near professional, but with no weight in the boat at 35mph the wake is nice, but its not a tournament ski boat. the wakeboarding/surfing wake is awesome (same hull as 98-03 wakesetter vlx). just a thought

I have surfed the VTX on the wake hull and was more than impressed. With bow tank, middle tank, port side rear and five people the wake was very surfable and had a nice shape and size to it. The only thing it lacked compared to our heavily weighted vlx was the push. With weight this boat could be awesome.
