If you currently ride behind the 210, how many have ridden behind the SV-211? Between the two, which do you like better concerning the wake? How much ballast over stock was added on each? Any SV-211 owners wishing they had the 210 or the opposite?
Thanks for any comments.

Jim did you have any luck selling your 210??

Can of worms opened.

It's all preference. I know guys that love the SAN wake when it's loaded and others that don't. Personal preference.

I used to own a 1995 super sport and have ridden behind newer 210s. I now own a 05 211TE. Both wakes can be made the same size with weight. The 210 may be a little steeper than 211, but to be honest it depends on how you weight the 210 and the 211. weight towards back makes them both steeper, more weight in front makes it less steep. I personally would not go back to the 210 because i like the interior space and more freeboard the 211 offers. it also has a better surf wake for sure. There are also about 10 other little interior things on the 211 that make it better than the 210 you notice after you have it a while.

on my 211TE i run my stock ballast (~750lbs) plus an additional ~350lbs sack (fly high X v-drive sacs) on each side of engine. i have a 700lbs (fly high X) sack in the ski locker but i usually only use that for surfing, not wakeboarding. i run the acme 856 prop (211te comes with acme 644) and it handles the weight no problem even with 6-8 additional people in the boat.

hope this helps - Jon

can of worms? blah. it's a legit comparison.

i've ridden behind both. both are good. the 210's wake is super sick (imo) but does have a small interior compared to the 211. the 211's inerior is roomy, but the wake isn't as good as the 210 (imo). it's good, but not quite as good.

jim, do you ride the mudhole w/ squid?

jonfo, what's up man? we gotta hang out next time i'm up there. i was there about 3 weeks ago, but spent all my time w/ family.

I have the 05 211TE and have rode behind a fully weighted 210. I have to say, the 210s wake was crazy, I mean it scared the Shiznit out of me! But, it had really good pop. I was never really comfortable with edging into it though. My 211 is very user friendly, you can charge the wake full tilt and not be intimidated. It may not have the same type of Pop as the 210, but it really boots you. I have had several really good riders say that they like the 211 wake and thought it was just as good as the 210s they have rode behind, but they may have just been saying that to be nice. I run about 1,000 lbs. over stock ballast and usually have 3 people in the boat. I still ask myself if I should have bought the 210 instead! I’m not sure I will ever be convinced that I made the right decision, mostly because I always hear how good the 210 is. Oh well, I love my boat, and last time I checked I was not even remotely good enough to really be able to tell the difference between the two of them anyways!

I have a 2005 211, have ridden the 210 too and I am an intermediate boarder. There are two reasons I would recommend the 211 over the 210. Interior layout/storage and the wakeplate. Since I do not compete wakeboarding I don't need a standard tournament wakeboat, I can get as much out of the 211 as I would ever want from a wake generation standpoint. The 211 is also a bit more versatile than the 210.

I would not sell a 210 to get a 211, there is just not enough reason to do so (imo). You can always add wrap around seating to a 210 by adding a storage/cooler/subwoofer seat base behind the driver. If I were buying new again I would surely buy the 211. Right now the 211 is CCs best seller.

Hi Jason,
I think my boat is sold, so there are options in the Promo arena and just trying to get some opinions.

Ya Joe, I ride with Squid at the mudhole.

I seem to have fun with almost any boat that I ride so the 211 looked like another choice to look at.

Thanks for the input and it appears to be un-biased.

I was really surprised with the 211 wake. For being a wider boat. The wake was still really good with just stock ballast.

all the above is right on...the 210 wake is a smidge steep and has that extra little kick that no other wake has...it also is very sensitve since it is a narrow hull...

both are really nice, if you want all around boat then a 211 vs the super wakeboard wake of the 210

jim, i try to be as unbiased as possible. it's hard to get that from boat owners. naturally, they will be biased towards the boat they own, with the exception of dane (GD on wakeworld). he's the most unbiased boat owner i know.

i'll get to ride w/ squid again soon enough. when i do, i'll make sure he invites you out, then we can talk about the 210 vs. 211 stuff.

have you looked at the 220?

Hi Joe,
I looked at the 220 and it is huge, and doesn't look like the tower will fold down low enough for the garage. I can barely touch the header of our garage opening, and when I was standing next to the 220 on the trailer, I couldn't reach up to the pivot point on the tower. I am not really sure I like the interior of the 220 either, kind of funky, but functional. The length would also take up alot of space in the garage, so not going to go with that choice after seeing it.

Sounds good and lookin forward to the riding Joe.

by the way - my 05 211 TE on a DHM dual axel trailer fits under a 7ft garage door with a few inches to spare.

I own the 210 and absolutely love it. That said, if there had been a used 211 market out there in my price range I would have chosen the 211 over the 210 in a minute. The 211 is much more versatile and feels extremely roomy inside. The wake doesn't compare to the 210 (I don't think any other boat wake does) but properly weighted it's right up there with any of the other boats in it's class .

jmo...

Thanks again for all the input, I am going to demo a 211 next week. I am planning on bringing one 600 lb sack to put in the middle on the floor or toward the bow. Should I try to find some more to bring?

Go with and extra 350lbs on either side in the rear and add another 300-500lbs in the nose.

If the 211 has the 3 factory tanks, and they are all full you wont really need the 600 up front, i would put the extra 350lbs on each side of engine though. The extra 600lbs up front will make the wake less steep, and will keep the boat from porpoising in rougher water.
