Well last night my installer and I got started on the new stereo for my 06 Tahoe. Its going to consist of four 10" Critical Mass SS series subs, eight 6-1/2" tower speakers, four 6-1/2" coaxials and two 5-1/4" through out the boat. Haven't made up my mind on which brand I'll use, but I'll decide this weekend. I will be using Cliff Design amps to power everything and Stinger cables to tie it all together. Anyway we decided to eighty-six the factory cooler (which sucked anyway and i was using it for small storage items) and are building a "w" like shaped box for the subs and I'm just letting Tony my installer do whatever with the tower box. I know it will be one complete unit and we've tossed around a hundred ideas, so we'll see what we come up with after the sub box is done. Anyway here's two before and after pics I snapped with my phone last night. I'll keep posting pics as the build up comes along. Still have to finish trimming the back wall and smoothing it out. We'll be putting the factory rear seats back in for a stealth install and also to retain the factory look.

Well my installer finally got to crackin' on the tower box yesterday and got some good work done. I didn't get pics of it with the fleece on the box and first layer of resin, b/c my digital camera died. I can't wait to get this sucker done and on the boat!

"eight 6-1/2" tower speakers"

whoahh.. that'll put out some sound, should you have the amps to push them.

Yeah Craig, each one will have 75 watts to them.

For some reason I can't get the pics to post here so, here's a link to another board I frequent with the build up pics so far.

Looks good... What material did you use to wrap the box before resin'ing it?
