I am looking at getting a new vest because mine is to bulky. Right now i have a hyperlite indy USCG vest and it floats very well. But it is very bulky. I am looking at the liquid force watson or the jet pilot stance comp vest. Both of these vests are non-uscg. But they are very thin. So should i give up flotation for comfort? Please give suggestions.

Really depends on how big you are. The stance is a good vest. If I was you I would check out the 2006 Jetpilot stuff. The new Baller vest and the Falcon are crazy. Super comfortable. Very high quality.

If you wanna stay with USCGA try the Core vest. They can all be found at www.bakesonline.com

If you want no bulk but approval go with the law from o`neill.

I have the law and love it, not bulky but floats me like a cork! I wanted the hinge but after trying them both on I like the fit of the law more, costs more but...I'd rather not sink in the drink!

I'd say be careful with the A-10 because it wouldn't float a cat. But it sure is light and not bulky!
