Well, it's the start of our annual Lake Havasu Wakeboarding/Partying trip and so far we're off to a snails pace. That and Friday the 13th bit us in the a**! We left yesterday with no problems. But then today while driving through Arizona on Hwy 40 we lost oil pressure. The engine made a squeeling noise, white smoke and then the engine shut down. We pulled off the highway to find oil all over the outside of the boat!! Blown motor?!? The local police stopped by to offer assistance. My hat's off to these guys, very helpful. They took me to a local shop and found the guys to talk to. Well, after many hours of investigation it's been deemed the turbo went out. So here we are, sitting in a hotel room in Flagstaff until tomorrow when we have to track down a truck to rent to get us to Havasu. Our truck won't be done till Monday or Tuesday. This Sucks!!!! So, here are some pics of the days events in order:
I know how you feel about breaking down. At least you has the the local police drive by. 2 yrs ago on my drive from San Diego to Orlando, my transfer case went out just outside of Gila Bend , (nothing like moving across country and 3.5hrs into your drive, having your car just die on ya) At least I still had cell phone service.
