Thanks to Adam Dodd and The Wake Show, here is a clip of Rusty's latest 1080. He goes so high that the camera has to pull up to where the water leaves the frame. Absolutely crazy amplitude! http://wakeworld.com/Galleries/GetImage.asp?GalleryID=500&ImageID=14

i think a 1260 is not that far off for rusty. check out how "slow" he starts the rotation and how fast he finishes. imagine if he spun faster (not necessarily earlier). nice work rusty.

He is probably the only person who could pull off that last handle pass. Pretty much forced that. AMAZING!

That was so much better than his first 1080 on video. Huge, clean, and it didn't even look forced or hucked. Sweet.

The sad part is that he is just getting better, and he works for every bit of it. Hope he stays healthy. Just think if Mark Kenny was still alive.

Rusty is the man, and judging by his physical build, he should stay healthy for a while, which means the 1260 is probably in his future.

I don't know if a 12 is that far off. I mean Rusty just learned 9's a year or so ago, and he's already throwing 10's.

He started landing 9's a year ago, but he had regular and switch 7s dialed. So a 9 was no big deal.

Thats CRAZY!!!!! Looks like he isn't spinning crazy fast like his and danny's first 1080s. Looks a little more controlled, yet at the same time, totally out of control, lol.

sick rusty. i agree whats the deal w/ lifejackets? i thought the unfortunate and premature death of corey kraut had set it clear..... i have seen more pics of jacketless riders in mags every month. i was down when the mags wouldn't publish a rider w/out a vest.

I don't know why everyone is obsessing with the fact that he isn't wearing a vest. I would say about 95% of the pros don't wear Coast Guard Approved Vests anyway. Maybe he should be wearing a vest, but that isn't the point of this post, the point of this post is that he nailed a third 1080, and that is sick. And no the vest doesn't hinder his handle pass ability, he landed the first two wearing a vest, the kid has long arms, seeing as he is over 6' tall. He is the Man right now, plain and simple!!

When I saw the video I thought that it was pretty poor form for someone at his level to not set an example by wearing a vest. I figured everyone would be going crazy about it too.

i think 12's might be farther off then you would imagine. rustys landed 3 10's out of how many attempts? and about competition, i think rusty will always play it safe with the 9 unless he needs something big or he has 10's absolutely down 9/10 times.

"and about competition, i think rusty will always play it safe with the 9 unless he needs something big or he has 10's absolutely down 9/10 times." Or unless he has the comp in the bag, he knows it, and he just wants to put on a show.

FWIW, Rusty usually wears a vest UNDER his t shirt when he's riding. I can't tell if this is the case this time around, because I haven't seen the video clearly due to a crappy internet connection.

I predict that he was somewhere around 15 feet in the air measured from water to his feet. If he is about 6 feet and his head is horizon-high on the water and then he is still yet a little higher than his head is when you put him at horizon level... probably about 15 feet OR a bit higher...

Ya, that wake looks meaty and his 10 is sick. Wonder why didn't wear a vest.. Surely he must have known that would raise some questions and perhaps even distract from that SICK a$$ 10!

How'd ya'll like the song to the video? While Logan Farris and Josh Rice were in the Philippines for the World Cable Board comps Josh meet Adam the producer of The Wake Show, Josh gives him a CD that he and Logan had recorded and Adam used Demagnatized Compass for the vid. That's my son Logan singing. A wakeboarder singing for a wakeboard vid, sweet...Logan is currently in Tampico Mexico teaching wakeboarding at a camp there. Josh and he will be releasing another CD when Logan gets back home to Canyon Lake, Texas.
