There is an upgraded prop and ruder you can buy will greatly imporve the performance of the xstar just drove one with the new gear and it is well worth the upgrade.pulls way better turns way better ita truly a different boat. Just thought Id give you guys a heads up look into it.

the 2007's come with the new prop. it really yanks up a rider with lots and lots of weight in the boat.

If I am not mistaken, MC is taking care of the replacement from the old "wedge" style rudder to the new "paddle" style rudder for the X-Stars that came with the old style.

I have an 06 X-Star and was not aware of any "prop upgrade" - however, I know that MC used a new rudder for the 06 (onwards) Star's. Its allot bigger, and provides much better handling.

Our 06 handles way better than the 03 we rode previously - Its tracks much better when driving at riding speed and maneuvers allot better at lower speeds.

I have some pics of the different rudders and will post them up shortly...

I read somewhere that the stock props are 13.7x17
The upgrade is OJ 14.25x14.5 xmp
Is this for the MCX engine?

I agree our '07 handles 10X better than our '04. Such small changes make a big difference. Matt

I dont know if the 07 got a new prop...im fairly sure the 06 had the same prop as the 03 - 05...
