Mastercraft X-1..how much lbs is factory Ballast?

I cannot find information any where and lots of inconsistancy on the net.

What is the wieght of the facotry triple KGB ballast system? (two rear tanks and center ballast)

Suprised mastercraft doesn't have any information in their manual, or even on the website or brochure.

Should be either 900 or 1,000

It's supposed to be 900: 250 on each side in the back and 400 in the center sac. I've never acurately (or hear of anyone) measured the weight, but guessing by the size of the sacs/tanks and where they are I'd say it's within 100lbs of that.

Anyone else think that it needs a LOT more than the factory ballast?

I have a friend with an 06 x1 running factory ballast and I can hardly ride the thing unless we run two more sacs.

Its a beautiful boat, and works great for him as he is a beginner.....but the wake is small and soft with factory ballast.

I have an 05 x-2 and the factory ballast is perfect for me and my crew. With one or two other people @ 22mph, its over my knee and lippy at the top. I put two sacs in the boat this past weekend and we preferred the wake without the extra sacs. Probably with two more, it would have made a better wake.

It's funny how there is no reference to wieght of any ballasts from Mastercraft meanwhile BU' uses it as braggin rights... so to say.

pshh who want factory.. the delta grown x2/1's are wieghted down to death. aarrons, both cie's ours, 5150 crews, the cool Green x star.
but back to topic... its says 900lbs
