I'm just now getting into surfing and was wondering how much weight i should add and where to position them for a nice wake. I ride goofy toes facing the wake. Also should I fill all 3 ballasts?

they are located at the bottom of the boat in the center... should be 2-3 of them about 10-12 inches long..

For goofy fill up the middle and starboard ballast, put people or a bunch of weight in the back on the starboard side. Get your rub rail really close, if not in the water. You might have to drive in a large right hand circle to clean up the wake. Regular side is better, but you should be able to dial it in......

Why does it matter if you have tracking fins?

The X-10 does not have the tracking fins

I think it does have tracking fins... It has a few fins under the boat... I can't remember off-hand right now though.

what about sacs? what do you guys recommend? how much weight? I usually have about 4-5 people in the boat including me.

I've heard that the wake on the x-10 is pretty flat & wide.

falco is right - no tracking fins....however you set this up... be careful of your listing.. you may have to move people when you start/stop..

the best setup i have seen in a mc was tim & jesi's x-2.

they had bags of lead on top of the rear tanks, extra fat sac and belly full..the boat would get caddywampus...

I had all stock ballast filled up, 50 lbs. in the starboard side and i had 9 people on board...it threw the sickest wake. I can almost land 360's now on the wakeboard... i just need to work on passing the rope, i got the spin and the landing down solid.
I got so much pop man. I'm definitely buying some fat sacks now :-)

we just need to dial in the wake a bit more for surfing.
