Hopefully the freeze is over and we start seeing more of the warm spring weather are having. I assume water temp is still pretty cold. ANyone know the temp out at Delta? And who has rode as of now? Has anyone rode without a dry suit? That would be crazy!

i rode the delta today. we ride all year long. when the winter hits i put on a wetsuit. no need for a drysuit. water was probably in the high 50s today. air temp was great. 2 more weeks and ill be trunking it. mike murphy was out riding with us in his trunks about a month ago. summer is here baby.

Aaron...

You know you want to take yours!

The water warmed up during that warm spell we had. It's been pretty cold this week.

The weather this weekend isn't looking great.

Dry suit.I always use a drysuit in cold conditions.Your energy last longer if your not fighting off the cold temp.Last trainning camp I went to in Florida this time of year.I wore a drysuit.others did not I skied circles around everybody.I have been skiing year round for 15 years and beleve me the cold water will zap your energy.

Thanks Aaron, appreciate that. Definitely helps.

Robert, To each his own! The drysuit is good when you're in the water but too hot while I'm riding. I prefer a good wetsuit.

Drysuits feel like more work to me. I would rather be cold when I first jump in, or not ride at all than use a drysuit.

J-Rod and Allen have been riding in the Delta so long they have a extra green glow around them that keeps them warm.

yes, they do have a certain glow to them dont they.

nobody ever claimed i was smart for trunking it, but if the water is approaching high fifties you are fine.

i should get a high quality wetsuit like jrod said, but..ive never worn one, do they restrict your motion?

I have a calander on my wall, and this year I am keeping track of my wakeboard days. So far in 2006 I have 12 days marked. I love to ride in a drysuit. The new murray bindings have made a HUGE difference by keeping my toes warm. so much mobility, and all the warmth of....spring?
Old     (guido)      Join Date: Jul 2002       02-24-2006, 10:17 AM Reply
12 days, huh.....

I think I may have 1 day.... What a poor showing on my behalf. Al, we gotta go ride soon. On a side note I'm doing pretty well checking off snowboard days this year. 2 more for this weekend.
