Hi

Has some one try putting a fat sac on the swim plataform, I saw a MC with a sac on the plataform and it seem to me like a good idea for saving seating space, but I wonder if my 1998 mobius can support a sac on the plataform and if it does, how heavy can it be.

Thanks
Rosh

There is a company that makes a tank that attaches to the bottom of your platform. If I remember the name I will let you know. I'm sure you could find it on the net!

Jeremy ~ It's Elan. I think it holds like 250lbs or something like that.

Where would you put your board on?

there used to be a company called "Wake Tank" It was a plastic tank that fit under your platform and all you did was take the cap off at idle and let it fill up, then re-cap and ride. When done for the day take the cap off and while driving it would empty itself just put the cap back on quickly when you stop again. they only held like 250#'s max but their clame was since it was further back in the boat it had a greater effect. Someone I used to ride with had one and it was okay, but as you can see they aren't around anymore.

That's what I was talking about. I've seen them, I don't know why they wouldn't work just as well as sacs. may be stress on your deck though.

Wouldn't the weighting effect be drastically reduced because the tank is sitting in the water?

when the boats in motion it's not in the water. it's up above the hull.

It should only be in the water when the boat is off plane. It actually might be good in that way in the fact that when the boat is sitting still it would effectively have very little extra weight, but when on plane it would provide the appropriate weight of the tank.

ive been at the lake and forgot fat sacs so we filled up ice chests with water and tied em to the back on the swim step. talk about ghetto.

If it was in the water, it would raise water restiance, and take out the whole gravity effect pulling it down right? So it wouldnt help anything it seems to me. When it planes won't the back be out of it? I always put on my boards in the water. That might be because I have no swim platform.

That much weight suspended from your platform through a double up ? Sure to cause problems in the long run.
