new board question - 3ds?

i am currently riding an 05 byerly 137. i love the stunning pop and the amazing grip but i am very opposed to the hard landings, the unpredictable pop(probably just me), and the drag the flow-through hooks create.

i am pretty sure i want to buy an 06 3ds 139 because i love flying out into the flats and the new L7 core is supposed to be unbelievable. from what i understand the board does ride long and fast, and has extremely soft landings especially for those big, long airs.

btw, the board is for sale...pefect condition, no sliders, no dings, etc. selling with 05 lf teams(L). just got a new pair(like 4 trips ago) and haven't sent the warranty card in yet. $525.

I don't know about the byerly, but I came from an 03 Premier 140 (current Era shape) to an 05 3DS 143 and the difference was nothing short of amazing. I loved the Premier shape (I rode it for 2 years), but as I got better, it felt too slow and landing in the flats created alot of drag. All of that was addressed with moving to the 3DS, it is very quick on edge and I started taking my wake to wake jumps way out into the flats and landing super smooth. I for one absolutely love the board.

i got the 05 3ds on clearance at the end of this season...i love it, good pop, nice soft landings. the tracking was a little loose, but i came from a starter LF w/ 1.5inch fins. The only problem is the SUPER sharp fins...the first time I grabed my nose wrong, I cut my finger...so I just filed the front of the fin down a bit.
