Not much of a trick, but need to come up with a name for "the act a of pulling the legs down on boardshorts" Every guy does it from the time they get up, and all through their ride.

When you're ridin' commando, you don't want the troops getting too close to the perimeter.

I wouldn't call it a trick, it's just a matter of comfort. Comfort and the fact that most of us don't want to blind the observer with our white thighs.

Caution on riding commando, a guy I rode with last year had one of his "boys" swell to about 2x normal size from a little twisting and crushing since everything was dangling unsecured. The doc told him to always wear whitey-tighties or boxer-briefs. I went out and immedietly bought a pair of the under-armour boxers, they hold great and dry pretty quick.

The other day I saw a guy with a steering wheel hanging out of his boardshorts. I asked him what it was doing there and he said "I dont know but it's driving me nuts"...

Yeah it sure is getting old. Things would be so much easier if I could wear my purple and pink banana hammock when I ride.

Just shows you the huge age and maturity gap between the 2 sites. The "other" site is more for highschool problems.

Just do a deep water start: where you are already sort of standing up instead of laying on your back: and no problem with em at all.

I'm afraid that I must disagree with Lynsey and grant this move "trick" status (mostly because it is the only "trick" that I can do without dire consequenses). Though I am fairly new to the sport and its terminology, couldn't this be referred to as some manner of front-side grab?

It's called a "Watson". Shawn Watson was the first one to do it and he does about once every 1.2 seconds during his run.

i highly doubt watson was the first to do it - heck surfers do this sometimes too. but i do remember him laughing about how much he does it in the watson project.

Shaun was riding before Watson and Shaun makes sure he teaches you to do it in his detention video.
