I'm looking at buying a used wakeboard boat in Louisiana. The owner says he doesn't have a title because LA doesn't require it. Anybody know if this is true?

Michael it is true, there are a lot of states that aren't title states for boats and trailers,Al for one.You should be able to take the LA registration from his boat and register it in your state. That is what we do on used boats in most states,it may have to be current and then you can transfer it to your state sticker and #'s

Thanks for the reply Karen. I didn't think the guy was lying, but I thought I'd make sure.
