I would not mind seeing the wake.. But more importantly I would like to see the tricks you do with all that weight. Because I would NOT be impressed if you have all that weight on a G21 and the tricks are not EPIC.

From my exp behind a G21 not sure I'd enjoy that wake weighted like that, hell full stock ballast is a super peaky wake that pops pretty weird. Little above half ballast on that boat is the best wake I've ever ridden

hey guys got out again pictures aren't the best because of it being on a cell phone
and honestly it doesnt get that much bigger just gets more lippy and harder
and no I'm not a heel side hero honestly just a expert level rider that likes big wakes.
my buddy is coming out tonight and should have some better stuff.

I got a rare chance (as a nebraska boy) to ride a g23 in milwaukee, WI about a month ago during a dealers boat demo day. I'm not anything to brag about (3's, rolls, tantrums, a few raleys under my belt) and to say the least, I was scared. Granted, the boat was fully loaded. So we headed out on the water and I was 3rd rider. It was a tight lake cove and I only got 1 jump per pass due to the time it took for the wake to clean back up after the P-turn (no powerturns here boys )
Needless to say, the wake was big, bigger than anything I've ever ridden. The biggest difference I myself noticed was the lip and water level between the wakes. Unlike most other boats, the wake between the 2 lips on the G was a lot higher than the prop chop directly behind the boat. It was like trying to jump over a canyon and if you didn't make it, wave goodbye to your knees.
The reason I say all this is because I got an even more rare chance to ride a Ronix Demo Day a few years ago with Danny Harf. We rode a X25 with about 12 people in it. After my ride, I talked to him about riding for Nautique. He said his G23 was on order and about to arrive in a few months. He told me that he's ridden it fully loaded. So of course I had to ask...What's it like stock full...and then some?!?! The short answer, "Depressing, it only gets worse after stock, and its just not worth it." Talk about a curve ball.
All that being said, I'm glad I didn't ride full and then some, because apparently it just starts to wash out. Sorry to break some hearts out there. I hope I'm wrong after a new hull gets developed under that massive cabin and interior space. That would just be the end of all other boats. And if someone figured out how to add weight to the G and still keep the wake clean without going 40mph, I'm sure they are too busy enjoying the wake on the lake and not making a post about it.
Before I submit this post, I want to make it aware that I have a newfound respect for Nautique boats after the Wisconsin Boat Demo Day. They really make a clean, functional, jaw dropping boat.

^^^ I rode a G23 once and you are correct that the inside to out wake is bigger than a lot of boats regular wakes if you go heavy on the ballast

It would seem that the pictures above directly contradict your theory that a G23 wake washes out when you apply ballast on top of the stock ballast. There is also a lot of pictures and info on this forum that shows these G boats slammed with 2000-3000 over stock and the wakes are clean at 23.5-24.5 mph if I am not mistaken

g23 wake get smaller with added weight on top of the stock ballast??? nothing could be further from the truth. even ray charles can see that wake gets bigger with added weight. the only thing that gets smalle with more weight with that boat is my discs in my back when i land in the flats... best wake in the business

I have ran 1,200 over and it doesn't get worse at all. Just harder and bigger. Somehow I doubt Danny said that seeing that other Nautique team riders run 8000lbs total. (JD Webb, Mike Dowdy)

24.3 mph @ 77.5 ft. it'll stay clean down about 23.5 mph.
JD and Scott Stewart actually spent 5 days up here with me this summer. They both said multiple times throughout the week how impressed they were with our setup, and that they were going to change their configuration to match ours. We just run it with the weight more equally distributed. From the far rear, all the way up through the midship seats, and then into the bow.

I cannot imagine why you need extra ballast on a G. Those wakes a massive, but then again. I'm not a pro, like 99% of the wakeboarders ;-).

If its fun, do it bro. Same argument can be made in a lot of ways - like why do 99% of riders need ballast on any wakeboat Or why do you hit a double up if you aren't going to throw a speed ball. Because its fun!
I know if I had the means, I would own a G and the ballast tanks would probably be full 100% of the time as it gets stored on a mooring, and we would likely toy with weight over stock.

So.... was out yesterday only running 2 400s in midship trying to get some decent photos before the seasons done in the NW
and bam! boat started shaking and then a loud bang and the boat came to a stop. shaft snapped.
pretty bummed to say the least.

Actually good for him it snapped. Itll be replaced & it wont happen again. Now he knows for sure he had the bad bach of shafts. If you wanna find something positive about it. Sucks nonetheless.

The broken shafts are reaching a level where we can finally sag something is severely wrong here.
My own conspiracy theory
The shafts were originally designed to push closed bow ski boats. Now a days factory ballast is the size of these old ski boat. Engines have gone from 260hp now up to 450hp. Boat weights have doubled , ballast levels have tripled. Just look at the posts in this thread. 7k on top of factory. 14.5 inch diameter props with crazy torque.
What's the it piece that hasn't changed in this entire equation to get beefier???????? The same ol 1 1/8 prop shaft. It's about time to give that a look see
