Axis A24 with a 5.7L sounds like a bad idea. Especially if you are going to be running a couple thousand or more pounds and a wedge. I could see the average family getting by with the 350hp motor if it had an auto launch trim plate but Malibu/Axis doesn't offer that.

This is not correct Malibu's have the wedge that adjust automatically as you pull up on plane. Don't remember exactly when they added this but was in the past few years.
