We store our '02 SAN under a 20' carport on the side of our house. the back and front stick out tiny bit, but it still does the job fine. Planning to upgrade to a 23' boat next year, and want to make sure the boat's protected from the elements. Rather than get a whole new carport (which would also involve me moving our air conditioning unit), I thought maybe i could just take the trim off the back and add some additional siding all the way around to extend it another 3 feet or so.

Anyone know where I could siding like this that would match what I've currently got? I can't tell you where I bought the carport it was so long ago.

I know this thing needs a wash and I need to cut back the growth, but here's a pic to give you an idea what I'm talking about. I'll likely call carports.com this week, but thought someone might have a thought or recommendation. appreciate it.

That is a basic barn metal. It is painted steel more than likely. Aluminum would be much more expensive. Look for local building supply wholesalers in your area. Thre are probably some that manufacture or sell these type of raised rib paneling. They are # feet wide and can be ordered to length. When I build by storage shed at home I paid around $2.00 per foot.mine came from a company called wheeling corrugated.

thanks. not sure why i said aluminum (i guess aluminum siding just rolls of the tongue...lol). I thought it looked like a pretty standard paneling style for carports.

Not sure where you are located but this place is about 40% cheaper than carports.com. I purchased mine from carports .com but added the covered sides and back myself with the same materials but purchased from gulf coast supply. They do ship.

Western Metals in Woodland Ca is the distributor of the metal you are seeking. They can direct you to a local supplkier or you could possible arrange for delivery.
