I know some were not crazy about my black and tan concept, but I super happy with how it turned out. Kind of thinking the windows might need a tint to really make it pop....
Thanks Active Water Sports and Supra for dealing with me and for the great personal service.

Some great new improvements this year that I like:
-new clarion head unit and much smaller remotes with aux jacks and place for an ipod.
-can watch dvd or video on the lcd screen on the dash which is stock
-seat is adjustable up and down, front and back and swivel
-Seadek on swim platform is stock now
-New SUPRA decal on the sides are totally sweet.

Installed the tower speakers temporarily and now have to hook up the system. Last pic shows the equipment I have to get installing this weekend..... I did an Exile 12, Exile Amps, Exile tower speakers. Gonna run stock interior speakers and amp and see how they keep up. If not, I might replace them as well.... Got a bunch of warning stickers I need to peel off too

Lookin' good guy! Is there any tan on the topdeck? Hard to tell. Which motor?
Old     (tyler97217)      Join Date: Aug 2004       03-31-2011, 9:37 PM Reply
Thanks. Yeah top deck and interior are also tan. It is called Sandrock. It is a very subtle tan or even off white. I got the 340 motor.

Nice!! I wish I just had your stereo system, I would sell it, then I could afford a nice SN2001 1989 and a bigger tow vehicle.

Thanks guys.
Harold, we are not entirely sure what we are going to be doing yet. Will start out downtown and formulate a plan with the group on new areas. We usually get out and ride pretty early and then just chill at the beach. We will probably do a bit of the same to start out and then might start to explore some other areas. Ideally we would hit Newberg or Charboneau, but they don't have a good beach to hang out at after the riding is done. We need a place that has both and we will probably venture up your way at some point and would appreciate a good tour from someone that knows the water well. Just a long drive home after we are done. Look forward to meeting up with you.

Yeah there is an area just south of portland called charboneau. It is actually in Wilsonville right by where you bought your boat. Some of our buddies hit John Day last year and loved it. We might try to make the haul out there as well this year....

Very nice. My only minor qualm is that with that wraparound window and tower, it looks pretty hard for the driver to reach into the water and grab the handle or grab anything that might have fallen in (like a beer). All the new boats seem to be going this way though. At any rate, it really looks great. I am sure you are going to love it.

Hate: ha ha....I would love one of them new fords with the eco boost everyone is talking about. I am too cheap though. I will pick one up in a few years and let someone else take the hit. Keeping the Hummer. Will get a pic with them together at some point this summer...

thanks guys...

mark - the bag vs tank debate has been around for some time. i would pick the bag system any day because we do a lot of modifications and add more weight. with a bag system that is all plug and play and easy. if you have hard tanks you have a bit of project on your hands. i suppose if you just ride with your stock ballast and don't make modifications for surfing, you are probably right, but for the way we use it, i would not change it.... i definitely think a hybrid system of bags and hard tanks would be awesome...

Looks good Diggs! See you out there.

The charboneau near Tri-cities is state park on the Snake. We used to go to the next park up called Fishhook all the time. Awesome place. Nice camp ground, great lake.
